Session Journal – March 6, 2024

Duckfoot, Orna, and Susan are at the edge of the floating island looking on the military camp of the Frogmen. Their ships are docked in the sky with dragon skin stretched across and dragon wings being used as sails. We see multiple size and types of frogmen (boggarts).

Separately, To the north of the island Drax has run into his old friend Zakshi who is going to be leading him to the dragonkin camp on this world. They escaped to this world to hide from the green dragon that Drax originally called out for controlling his people.

Drax’s new friends begin to pack up their cooking and seem a bit jumpy, he asks if he should be ready for combat. Zakshi says they were out hunting something called Buglebeasts and that they had made a peace with the Finna until the Boggarts appeared. Zakshi hopes to form an alliance to defeat them and says the last attack was made with about 100 of them. The mountains surround the forest and the snow tipped peaks feed the main river to the edge where the boggarts landed. Drax says Viktor doesn’t need to come with them but he would be helpful in making a combined effort and Viktor agrees.

Drydus is back at camp just like getting’ laid and getting followers. Daniel is laid the fuck out feeling sick and weak. Maggie comes to join him and says he must make a choice, he has a connection directly to the chains of hell and asks when he will join us. He says his god has abandoned him but he has not abandoned his god and he wishes to return to sigil. Maggie says he cannot return with his divinity and he asks to break the contract. Maggie seems smug and says that may be possible all he needs to do is cross out his name in blood and that his spark of divinity must go to her. Maggie pulls out a knife of a giants fingerbone, I stab your thumb, you blot out your name, I take your spark and then I send you back to Sigil. He cuts his palm, and black bloody bile hisses and drips onto the paper. Maggie says “you may keep the dagger… to remember me.” She pulls one of her charms which is a liquid filled canister with something inside, she unscrews its and it hisses releasing pressure. “Just throw this back, and you’ll be back in Sigil. You may want a chaser!” He swallows the nastiest liquid and then begins vomiting black vomit and begins sinking into it until his hand disappears into the black. Maggie turns dusts herself off and has become somewhat younger again.

Drax hears three creatures surrounding them, the raptor like creatures with a pouch on the lower parts of their jaws to make a bugling noise. Drax’s group begins to attack back. He jumps and flings his wings to reach the side of a tree 15 feet up. The buglebeast runs up below and honks at him and attempts to give him fear but fails. Zanshi and Viktor and Terresik draw weapons, Terresik casts a spell in a 20 foot blast and sizzling some and then setting his massive shield in place. Drax shoots an arrow through one buglebeasts eye killing it immediately.  

Me orna and Duckfoot begin to sneak towards the camp which is about a mile away into a ditch, with thick woods lining up to the encampment. We begin heading to the east side of the camp, we’re sneaking around with me and taylor sneaking so good and duckfoots coin purse jingling so much. We roll stealth again and taylor rolls 2 ones in a row, turning a falling into a tiger pit setting off a shit load alarms and traps and takes damage and is wrapped in a rope with bells on it.

I cut the ropes off of her and throw down a Golden Lion statue creating a magic lion that follows directions to the best of its abilities, I ask it to distract the boggarts, return to me, and bring me a frog if possible. We run back to the Finna we left behind and we come up and see a procession of frog men, 2 regular 1 giant. We basically run directly into each other and roll initiative. The giant boggart steps over the 2 small ones and lunges at us. Duckfoot uses huntprey and targets the giant, and slams his axe directly into its knee and it screams. I tap my demon mask and scare the shit out of the giant causing fear and -2 to everything, and then I begin to rage. Orna poisons her crossbow and shoots it and crits. Causing 16 damage and clumsy 1. She then throws tanglefoot and slows it by 1. It goes to grab duckfoot to head butt him but misses, then tries to swipe at him and misses again. The two smaller frogs behind picks up a crossbow but it just explodes and the other throws a spear for 5 damage. LAUGHABLE.

Back at the lizard party they’ve killed all these dinosaurs that will feed their village for a long time and they tell Drax he is a good omen and perhaps he is the chosen one after all.

Back at the frog party Duckfoot pulls his axe out of his knee and slams it back into the same leg twice. His knee is destroyed and he’s just screaming. I run up while raging and I FUCKING CRITTTTT and hack directly into the giants forehead and it collapses into the river as I shoot out an arm and snatch one of the smaller frogs by the back of the throat. Orna applies bloodsap to an arrow and shoots at the non-grabbed frog man and hits, that boaggart takes the fuck off and is 75 feet away with all his actions. Duckfoot pulls out his gun and the running frogman’s back explodes and he falls into the river as well. We pull the body out of the river and in the distance we hear a lion roar.

The dragonkin gang begin to descend the hill into the village to a hypothetically heroes welcome.

WE FIND, 74 gold, a piece of malachite, a piece of hematite, a bloodstone, a potion of sanctuary, and a scroll of pass without trace.

POSTSCRIPT; Osarn awakens and knows just by the scent in his nostrils that he’s back in a sigil. An ogre stands over him holding a cupcake and says “I was told to bring you this.”
