Ah, my devoted followers, you must tread cautiously when traversing from Avernus to the Prime Material Plane, especially when your path skims the borders of the Shadowfell. The Shadowfell, a realm shrouded in darkness and despair, is not only a reflection of death and decay but also a domain rife with perilous energies and malevolent entities. I should know, I was born there.

Firstly, the Shadowfell’s proximity to Avernus and the Prime Material Plane makes it a nexus of planar energies, where the fabric of reality is perilously thin. This thinning can lead to unpredictable and dangerous overlaps, where the morose energies of the Shadowfell may bleed into your path, warping and twisting both space and mind. These energies can be disorienting or even corrupting, potentially leading astray even the most vigilant of travelers.

Secondly, the Shadowfell is inhabited by creatures of darkness and despair. These entities, drawn to the despair and fear of others, may sense your passage and be drawn to it. Such encounters can be treacherous, for these beings are often powerful and malign, seeking to trap or consume the souls of the living. Your divine sparks, bright and resplendent, may attract them like moths to a flame.

After passing worryingly close to the Shadowfell, we will come to our destination, Iosna, the broken realm. I have had my third eye on this place for centuries. Flotsam from all over the multiverse gathers in a type of eddy between the inner planes. Continents set adrift from fractured realities come to rest in Iosna. This is where we shall find true divinity.
